Survey Processing
Comprehensive processing procedures
Our comprehensive survey management services include well-defined, survey processing procedures. As returns arrive from a mail survey, envelopes are opened and replies are checked for usability. Surveys that are torn, unreadable or otherwise unusable are noted and the balance is grouped for data capture. (If you desire, rules may be established for your survey that would guide us as to how to usability is determined.) For those studies in which manual data entry is preferable, we have a team of keypunchers who are available to handle this task. Their performance is routinely checked in terms of accuracy, and we maintain a standard of 99.8% accuracy or better. In addition, 25% verification is normal procedure. If you wish to have verification completed at a higher percentage, we can certainly provide that to you for an additional fee. If scanning is a better way to handle data capture, we are able to offer that as well. Our operators will handle all programming and necessary set up, then process all usable returns.
It's not unusual for a survey to have open-ended questions which require response transcription and/or coding. Transcribing/coding responses is a routine operation for us during the capture process and can be included as part of the service to you.
Delivering survey results
After data capture is completed, tabulations may be conducted by our Data Analyst group, or you may simply request that we send you a cleaned or uncleaned data set. The choice is up to you.
We can also assist you with table layout, banner planning and crosstabulations. In addition to our own proprietary tabulation system, we also support SPSS and Wincross.
